Shirley Gean Tyler

Shirley Gean Tyler, 65, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, August 8, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 24, 1959 in Lepanto, Arkansas to John Everett Tyler and Mary Elizabeth Brown Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her son: Jonathan David Tyler, her parents, five brothers: Larry “Bubby” Tyler, Garry “Tiny” Tyler, James Tyler, Donald “Pete” Tyler and Charles Leon Tyler, two sisters: Janie Elizabeth Barnett and Mary Ellen Gibbs.

Shirley is survived by her wife of thirty-nine years: Angie Rodgers of the home, and her son: Courtney Rodgers of Bay, Arkansas, one brother: David Tyler (Tammy) of Lepanto, Arkansas and Angela McKinness (Elmo) of Lepanto, Arkansas and her two puppies: Lucky and Storm

Shirley loved cooking for her boys, who were her pride and joy, and she always found ways to make them laugh. She had a special place in her heart for her puppies, if she made herself a sandwich, she made one for them too. She enjoyed planning family vacations months in advance, making sure every detail was perfect, and she treasured the time spent together. She was dedicated to her job and loved her Sam’s Club family, forming lasting friendships that she held close to her heart.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Interment will follow service at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Brother Joe Wheeler will officiate the service.
