Sandra Kay Wood

Sandra Kay Wood, 56, of Marked Tree departed this life on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at her home. She was born on August 1, 1970, in Marked Tree to Fred L. Brown and Ima Jewel Curtis Brown.

Sandra was a hardworking, sweet and loving lady who always seemed to have a smile on her face and would laugh so hard at times couldn’t stop. She enjoyed shopping, eating at buffets, cooking, listening to music, and especially taking trips to the beach. She loved going on outings with her sisters. Her children and grandchild were her greatest blessings. She had a great sense of humor. Her favorite saying, “You’re so stupid,” and was always spoken with a smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother: Ricky Brown, two sisters: Patsy Talley and Carolyn Hindman, three brother in laws: Johnny Holt, Wesley Hindman and Danny Talley.

Sandra is survived by one son: Gregory Brown of Lepanto, Arkansas, three daughters: Melissa Thomas of Southaven, Mississippi, Amanda Wood of Clinton, Mississippi and Hannah Wood of Ridgeland, Mississippi, one brother: Travis Brown (Sue) of Tyronza, Arkansas, three sisters: Darlene Calhoun (Kenny O’Farrell) of Lepanto, Arkansas, Ann Holt of Lepanto, Arkansas and Mashell Bly (Chris) of Tyronza, Arkansas, one grandchild: Jordyn Thomas of Southaven, Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Brother Jonathan Neely and Brother Chris Oakes will officiate the service.
