Paul Phillips

Paul Edward Phillips, 87, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life Monday, March 8, 2021 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  He was born on October 12, 1933 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to George Frank and Lois Faye Miller Phillips.

Paul was a member of Liberty Street Church of Christ in Marked Tree.   He was a three-year Army Veteran. sheet rock hanger and retired after 30 years of managing the sporting goods department at Wal Mart.  He was a little league baseball coach in Marked Tree and was an assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team in Marked Tree.  Paul enjoyed hunting, and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son: Randy Phillips, one brother: Robert “Bobby” Phillips, two sisters: Faye Nolan and Suzzie Phillips and one great grandson: Alex Benton.

Paul is survived by one son: Kenny Phillips (Kathy) of Marked Tree, Arkansas, one daughter: Lisa McCrary (Jamie) of Marked Tree, Arkansas, companion: Betty Phillips of Marked Tree, Arkansas, one brother: Tommy Phillips of Bella Vista, Arkansas, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.  Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Marked Tree Cemetery, Marked Tree, Arkansas.
