Nell Nash

Nell Nash, 82, of Payneway, Arkansas departed this life on Friday July 31, 2026, at St Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on April 26, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee to James Nelson and Wona Mae Locke Smith.

A devoted member of Corner’s Chapel Baptist Church, Nell lived a life that reflected kindness and compassion for others. She was the glue that held everything together, a giver, and was always there when anyone needed her. Professionally, Nell worked as a tax preparer, where she earned the respect and trust of countless clients. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping. More than anything, she treasured her family and friends, creating countless memories.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years: Eddie Nash, Sr., her parents, two brothers: Hal Smith and Scott Smith.

Nell is survived by her son: Eddie Nash, Jr. of Payneway, Arkansas, sister: Kathy Haynes (Clyde) of Paragould, Arkansas, one grandchild: Matt Nash (Brittany) of Harrisburg, Arkansas and one great grandchild: Colt Nash of Harrisburg, Arkansas.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Corner’s Chapel Baptist Church, Payneway, Arkansas.
