Mildred I Collins

Mildred I. Collins, 73, of Caraway, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on March 26, 1953, in Keiser, Arkansas to Oscar and Tommie Meeker Sheppard. Mildred was a member of Etowah Pentecostal Church of God, she enjoyed collecting change, watching videos on Facebook, playing games, fussing at Jerry to get out of her way and she always got her way. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids and shopping at Walmart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son: Jerry Collins Jr., one daughter: Milli Rodriguez, one granddaughter: Bryanna Smith, two sisters: Wanda Mae Kidd and Glenda Sheppard and two brothers: James “Cotton” Burrows and Carl Sheppard.

Mildred is survived by her husband of forty six years: Jerry Collins of Caraway, two daughters: Anna Collins of Caraway and Carolyn Ellison of Luxora, four brothers: Newt Sheppard of Caraway, Lupe Sheppard (Mary) of Caraway, David Sheppard (Debra) of Lepanto and Charles Sheppard (Esther) of Lepanto, one sister: Sharon Gann (Ronnie) of Luxora, six grandchildren: Chasity, Kim, Matthew, Junior, Tracy and Angela, several great grandchildren, fur baby: Dixie and host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, at 1:00p.m. at Etowah Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah.

Interment will follow at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
