Mary Williams

Mary Kathryn Murphy Williams, 95, Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on August 15, 1921 to J.E. Sr. and Lorene Davis Murphy. She is the owner of Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto and Marked Tree, she is the past President of The Northeast Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, past President of Memorial Life Insurance Company and also the past President of the Arkansas Club of Burial Associations. Mary Kathryn is a member of the Methodist Church in Lepanto, she sponsored The Cub Scouts in Elaine, Arkansas and also helped start the library in Elaine, Arkansas. She loved to travel and was always helping anyone in need. She was an amazing Mother and Grandmother and she loved her family more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Bennett F. Williams Sr., parents, son: John Murphy Williams, two brothers: J.E. Murphy Jr., and Jerry Murphy and one granddaughter: Lesha Lorene Williams.
Mary Kathryn is survived by her son: Bennett F. Williams Jr. of Lepanto, Arkansas, two grandchildren: Jennifer Williams (Donald Wood) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Lynsey Williams of Los Angeles, California and three great grandchildren: Cameron King, Mara Franks and Gabe Franks.
The Williams family would like to thank the staff of Caring Hearts and Debbie Beley for taking such great care of Mary Kathryn the last couple of years.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00pm at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 1:00pm until service time.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
