Mary "Joey" Josell Harvey

Mary Josell “Joey” Harvey, 71, of Warner Robins, Georgia departed this life on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia.  She was born on May 3, 1952, in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Joseph and Lucy Elizabeth Coons Merritt.

Mary is formerly of Harrisburg and Marked Tree.  She attended Shiloh Baptist church and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, cooking and loved all children.

She is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years: Darrell LaRue Harvey, Sr., siblings: Jimmie Douglas (little brother) Merritt, Joann Roberts, May Morgan, Sarah June Merritt, Gladys DeArmond, Jackie Berryhill and Wayne Merritt.

Mary is survived by her two sons: Darrell “Rue” Harvey, Jr. (Stacie) of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Chester Harvey (Amy) of Harrisburg, Arkansas, her favorite daughter: Kellie Jones (Kevin) of Warner Robins, Georgia, three brothers: Donnie Merritt (Christine) of Harrisburg, Arkansas, John M. Merritt (Erma) of Wynne, Arkansas and Douglas Merritt (Merita) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, three sisters: Margie Alexander (Leland) of Milledgeville, Tennessee, Teresa Pitts of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Rose Brown of Harrisburg, Arkansas, nine grandchildren: Hunter Brooks(Marley) of Tampa Bay, Florida, Shelby Harvey of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kody Jones, Konner Jones, Kristopher Jones all of Warner Robins, Georgia, Elle Harvey, Cason Harvey, Kaylee Harvey, Maggie Hill all of Harrisburg, Arkansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Farm Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg, Arkansas.  Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home, Marked Tree, Arkansas.

Brother Zach Davis will officiate the service.
