Margie Beatrice Copeland

Margie Beatrice Copeland, 87, of Mountain View, Arkansas departed this life on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was born on April 11, 1938 in Batesville, Arkansas to William Henry Halk and Myrtle Ausborne Halk.

Margie was a lifelong resident of Mountain View, born on a houseboat on the White River. She loved to swim and spent much of her life picking cotton – even growing it in her own yard. She enjoyed cooking and cherished time spent with her family. Margie will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Janice Orr, two brothers: Danny and Junior Halk and one sister: Billie Ann Foster.

Margie is survived by one son: David Burns of Mountain View, one brother: James Halk (Barb) of Mountain View, five sisters: Martha Goins of Mountain View, Cynthia Jane Peters of Mountain View, Betty Jean Beach of Kansas City, Kansas, Fanny Copeland of Mountain View and Pearl Halk of Kansas City, Kansas, one granddaughter: Sherry Hufstedler of Jonesboro, two great granddaughters: Jessica Henninger and Samantha Swindle both of Jonesboro and three great great grandchildren: Hunter, Reece and Christopher and one on the way: Maddox and a host of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
