Lonny Montgomery

Lonny Wayne Montgomery, 75, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life Friday, June 25, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.  He was born in Mantachie, Mississippi on December 16, 1945 to Lonzo and Maxine Underwood Montgomery.

Wayne attended Marked Tree Church of God.  He was the owner of Elm Street Video, an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Johnny Montgomery.

Wayne is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Linda Rollins Montgomery of the home, two sons: Shannon Montgomery (Misti) of Trumann, Arkansas and Joseph (Buddy) Montgomery (Michelle) of Trumann, Arkansas, one daughter: Michele Bryant (Randy) of Conway, Arkansas, one brother: Ronald Swan of Marked Tree, Arkansas, three sisters: Shelia Harsson of Hardy, Arkansas, Janet Walsh of Bartlett, Tennessee and Kathy Boxley of Marked Tree, Arkansas, eight grandchildren: Chris, Nicole, Casey, Matthew, Hunter, Fowler, Brant and Luke, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Marked Tree Church of God on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be held at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home, Marked Tree on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Interment will follow funeral service at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas.

Brother Patrick Tucker will officiate the service.
