Larry Eldon Craig, 74, of Newark, Arkansas departed this life on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1951 in Bassett, Arkansas to George Elliott Craig and Zelphia Blackwood Craig.
He was a devoted member and former deacon of Ruddell Hill Baptist Church, and an honorary member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. A master electrician, he used his skills to help people in his community, never asking for anything more than a kind word in return. He enjoyed sports and was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. He spent many years coaching little league baseball and basketball. Above all, he was a family man. His pride and joy was his grandson, Ian. The time he spent with his family was valued most, and the love he gave will be felt forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Charles “Pete” Craig, George Elliott Craig, Jr., and Bill Craig, three sisters: Louise Wilkinson, Rena Wood, Freida Williams and Earlene Craig Brown.
Larry is survived by his wife of forty-nine years: Brenda Craig of the home, one son: Shawn Craig (Lorie) of Newark, Arkansas, two brothers: Clifford Craig (Dianne) of Batesville, Arkansas and Homer Craig (Kay) of Powhatan, Arkansas and one grandson: Ian Craig and a host of other family, friends, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Etowah Baptist Church, Etowah, Arkansas.
Burial will follow at Garden Point Cemetery, Etowah, Arkansas.
Brother Tyler Bramlett and Ian Craig will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto.
