Johnny Shelton

Johnny Lee Shelton, 92, of Payneway, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Steele, Missouri on November 19, 1924 to Bob and Clara Shelton.
Johnny spent most of his life as a farmer and sitting with his cats and dogs in his lap. He loved his family, singing church hymns, watching Fox News and sharing his opinion with other people, mostly about the Bible or politics. He attended Corner's Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway and loved his church family, but most importantly he loved the Lord.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
His survivors include his children: Johnny Mac and Debbie Shelton of Jonesboro, Jim and Annesa Thompson of Marked Tree and Larry and Beth Wray of Payneway. In addition he is survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren that he loved dearly. He is also survived by his dog: Sissy.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00pm at Corner's Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Glen Hurst officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until service time.
Graveside service will be held at 2:45pm at Jonesboro Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Brian Thompson, Justin Wray, Shelton Wray, Joshua Brown, John Shelton and Kendall Shelton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his Corner's Chapel Sunday school class.
