Jewel Maxine Jackson

Jewel Maxine Catt Jackson, 97, of Payneway, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at her home.  She was born on September 5, 1926, in Bassett, Arkansas to John Ezra and Nancy Elizabeth McCleer Catt.  Jewel was a member of Corners Chapel Baptist Church, and she enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with family especially the youngest kids.

She is preceded in death by her husband: C.H. Jackson, one daughter: Linda Jackson Long, great great granddaughter: Brailyn Dawn Cahoon, three sisters and five brothers.

Jewel is survived by one son: Jackie Dewayne Jackson and Whitney of Payneway, two daughters: Shirley Watson and Ewel of Payneway and Carolyn Parrish of Payneway, one sister: Bessy Vines of West Memphis, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, many cherished nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:00a.m. at Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway.

Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
