James Michael Carmichiel

James Michael Carmichiel, 28, of Dyess, Arkansas departed this life at his home on Friday, July 18, 2025. He was born on May 26, 1997 to Michael Wayne Carmichiel and Lacretia Atkinson in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

James graduated from Rivercrest High School in 2015, where he was a proud member of the Rivercrest Marching Band, playing both tuba and baritone. He was a true gamer and enjoyed playing video games, often spending hours immersed in his favorite video game. He was kind and thoughtful and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Lacretia Atkinson Carmichiel Cooley, paternal grandparents: Pat and Page Carmichiel and maternal grandmother: Judy Atkinson.

James is survived by his father: Michael Wayne Carmichiel (Brandy) of Osceola, Arkansas, Grandmother: Christie Carmichiel of Dyess, Arkansas, maternal grandfather: Mike Atkinson, two sisters: Elizabeth Carmichiel Tyler and Maggie Hensley.

A Celebration of James’ life will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
