Harold Glenn Overbey

December 2, 1942 — March 23, 2024

Harold Glenn Overbey, 81, of Dexter, Missouri formerly of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Memory Lane of Dexter in Dexter, Missouri.  He was born on December 2, 1942, to J.D. and Pearley Wadley Overbey in Bondsville, Arkansas.  He was of the Christian faith and owned and operated Overbey Construction until retirement. He loved to fish, garden, and attend auctions and state sales.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son: Robert Patrick Overbey, three brothers: Sonny, Jim, and Bill Overbey, and two sisters: Maryjo Ashcraft and Melba “Monk” Senter and one great granddaughter.

Harold is survived by his wife: Jane Overbey of the home, two sons: Jeff Overbey (Tammy) of Arlington, Texas, and Jonathan Overbey (Kim) of Springville, Alabama, four grandchildren: Brittany Hadley (Austin), Hope Hubbell (Kevin), Kyle Overbey (Kendra) and Jordan Durden, seven great grandchildren and the mother of his children: Bobbie Prince.

A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto, on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to service time.

Interment will follow service in Garden Point Cemetery.

Brother Clifford Britt will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Delancey Funeral Home, Lepanto.
