George Griggs

George Griggs, 66, was born December 9, 1950 and raised in West Ridge, Arkansas. He worked as a farm hand his whole life. He exited this earth on March 10, 2017 at 3:55a.m. George was a member of the Baptist faith and a member of the Marine Corps.
He is preceded in death by his mother Eutha Wiyott Griggs, his father Earnest Leamon Griggs and one brother Jerry Wayne Griggs.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Patricia Griggs, three daughters Amanda Hatley of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Misty Sparks of Lepanto, Arkansas and Candace Griggs of Marked Tree, Arkansas. Two sons George Griggs Jr of Lepanto, Arkansas and David Griggs of Lepanto, Arkansas, one step-son Barry Wheeler Sr, five brothers Leon Griggs of Wynne, Arkansas, Earnest Griggs of Caraway, Arkansas, Stanley Griggs of Keiser, Arkansas, Michael Griggs of Whitton, Arkansas and Ricky Griggs of Sand Ridge, Arkansas and one sister Shelby Griggs of Trumann, Arkansas. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
