Elvertt Leon Griggs, Jr., “Little Leon”, 58, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Caraway, Arkansas. He was born on May 25, 1967, in Osceola, Arkansas to Elvertt Leon, Sr., and Evelyn L. Griggs.

Little Leon was known for his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, deer hunting, muzzleloader hunting, and searching for arrowheads. He truly never met a stranger, and he will always be remembered for his kind heart and his special way of making others laugh.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Evelyn Griggs, and his grandparents: Charles and Bertha Herman, and Earnest and Eutha Griggs.

Little Leon is survived by his father: Elvertt Griggs, Sr. of Harrisburg, two brothers: Jimmy Don Griggs (Jennifer) of Keiser and Charles Griggs of Caraway, two sisters: Melinda Towery (Ray) of Dyess, and Angela Potter (Bill) of Parkin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., and visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. til service time.

Brother Rick Kimery will officiate the service.
