David Murl Massey

David Murl Massey, 71, of Marked Tree, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1955, in Harrisburg, Arkansas to Billy Murl and Peggy Lou Brewer Massey. David was of the Church of God faith, loved golf, enjoyed watching football, cooking, going to the lake and he was a homebody. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents: Felix “Buck” and Emma Lou Brewer and Rufus and Lucy Massey, one son: Colby Tacker and one brother Bradford “Brad” Irwin Massey.

David is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years: Jennifer B. Massey of Marked Tree, two sons: James D Massey of Marked Tree and Brandon Massey (Alix) of Marked Tree, two grandsons: Brentley Tacker of Marked Tree and Marsh Massey of Marked Tree, one brother: Dr. Bill Massey (Renee) of Statesboro, Georgia, three nieces: Addy Kalloniatis of Statesboro, Georgia, Virginia Massey of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Brandy Fletcher (Nick) of Cabot, sister in law: Barbara Massey of Heber Springs, great niece and nephew: Brantley and Abi Fletcher of Cabot and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 3:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00p.m. until service time.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
