David Jasper Burt

David Jasper Burt, 69, of Joiner, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, August 24, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on March 26, 1957, in Tyronza, Arkansas to William and Irene Dillard Burt. David worked repairing small engines, he loved playing guitar and singing with his brothers “The Burt Boys Band”, loved being outside, watching the Grizzlies, action movies and westerns, rabbit hunting in his younger years and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-six years: Sheila Burt, his parents: William and Irene Burt, one brother: Albert Burt and two sisters: Dottie Burt and Joann Burt.

David is survived by his son: Josh Burt (Gina) of Lepanto, five brothers: Harold Burt (Donna) of Fort Smith, Mark Burt (Billie Ann) of Lepanto, Bobby Burt of Texas, Michael Burt of Wilson and Donald Burt of Wilson, two sisters: Tammy Burt of Manila and Ann Burt of Payneway, one grandson: Bradley Burt and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held at a later time.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
