Clyde Ray Simmons

Clyde Ray Simmons, 80, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on March 8, 1945 to Everett and Dora Roberts Simmons in East Prairie, Missouri. Clyde loved to watch sports on TV, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-six years: Martha Simmons, his parents, six brothers: Charles Simmons, Bill Simmons, Everett Lee Simmons, Dean Simmons, Junior Simmons, Loyd Simmons, two sisters: Pete Simmons and Terrie Hood and great grandchild: Stetson Ray Dawson.

Clyde is survived by his son: David Simmons (Michelle) of Lepanto, Arkansas, two granddaughters: Casey Dawson (James) of Lepanto, Arkansas and Tailyn Arnold (Joe) of Lodi, Ohio, four great-grandchildren: Granger Dawson, Colton Dawson, Whitlee Fisher and Olivia Arnold, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.

A visitation will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Burial will follow service at Marked Tree Cemetery, Marked Tree.

Brother R.J. Platz and Brother Gary Finely will officiate the service.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
