Arvel Mason

Arvel Dwight Mason, 75, of Memphis, Tennessee departed this life on Monday, October 11, 2021, at his residence.  He was born on February 24, 1946, in Lepanto, Arkansas to Arvel Emmett and Freda Brown Mason.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He retired from Dobbs Ford and was a former business owner of a mechanic shop.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Martha Sue Thompson Mason, his parents, one son: Arvel Dwight “Dee” Mason, II, two brothers: Kenneth Ray Mason and James Earl Mason, three sisters: Christine “Pete” Jones, Joy Lou Mason, and Glenda Paulette Mason.

Arvel is survived by his life partner: Theresa Buckley of the home, one daughter: Sheila Ann Huntley of Memphis, Tennessee, one brother: Larry Mason of Lepanto, Arkansas, three sisters: Barbara Willis of Lexington, Tennessee, Susan “Cookie” Burke of Osceola, Arkansas, and Kay Jennings (Mike) of Lepanto, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. and visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Lepanto First Baptist Church, Lepanto, Arkansas.

Interment will follow service in Potter Memorial Cemetery, Lepanto, Arkansas.
